A Carnival atmosphere engulfed the Victoria Hall on Monday night (26th Nov ) when Planet Sound’s third annual concert, SPECTRUMS OF SOUND , exploded from the stage at the city’s finest venue for talented performers.

The three hour show , hosted by the dynamic Nigel Booth , and attended by the Lord Mayor of Stoke , held the packed house captivated with dozens of groups and scores of entertainers of all ages, sizes and colours in a multi-cultural mix of song , dance and pure musicianship.

It was just pure joy to see youngsters from the local community just so happy, so involved and so good , all thanks to the stewardship of Mr Will ,( William Sherratt ) Planet Sound’s creator and current director.
Mr. Will a gifted guitarist and percussionist himself is a larger than life character and has a most engaging stage persona,and obviously a good tailor and hairdresser ! I Just loved the shiney royal blue suit and half -shaved head hair cut !

The drumming may have been a bit loud and long but then I was on the front row and I am a granny ! However the boy band ,( Ade Zac and Dave ) did have me rocking on my seat (and the salsa had me dancing in the aisle.)AND I definitely think Dave , the singer , with his Rod Stewart voice and cheeky Jim Davidson persona has a fair chance of making the short list for a place on the the TV show the “ X Factor “ .

Hi Planet Sound, I came to the Showcase last night and thought it was fantastic. Well done you must be very proud of yourselves as a team. What a lot of work youv'e put in with all those young people.
I hope you'll take a well earned rest well deserved. Brilliant!!!!!!
