KASANTI - KINGSTON CENTRE, STAFFORD MARCH 14th 2008 On 14th March 2008, the Kasanti group performed to Educational District Inspectors at the Kingston Centre, Stafford. Originally reccomended for the special training event by the Newcastle Inspector, the young people did their second performance in two days, having been featured as part of the Drumschool showcase at the Full Moon on the previous evening! The headteacher of St.Lukes presented the group by informing people how it had orginally got started and that how over the years the group has from strength to strength since November 2003 when Kasanti was 'first' born. The group played 4 pieces from their repetoire, encouraging district inspectors to join in with the music. The group recieved a special thank you card from Joan Brown the organiser saying how much she enjoyed the performance. District Inspectors said 'they don't usually get the chance to join in, (standing up and clapping) and how much they enjoyed it! Kasanti have increased memebership in the last year, and performed many times, including to 22,000 Stoke City fans! Well done Kasanti!!! Click here for photographs from the event!
