‘Goodbye Zoe’ wins best drama award The film ‘Goodbye Zoe’ was created with a group of young people from ‘Positive Steps’ looked after young people’s project in Blurton with a Planet Sound team, supported by Stoke on Trent Cultural Development Team. The film was written and acted by the young people themselves during a 20 hour project organised by Planet Sound during Jan-March. The film is a story of a young girl who dies following a sequence of events on her birthday, but ends on a positive note with the young people exploring how they themselves can change the direction of their lives. The young people involved in the project were delighted when they were called up on stage to collect the ‘best drama award’ at Projecting Stoke film Awards in March 2007. Everyone involved in the project received their own copy of the film on DVD and efforts are now being made to promote ‘Goodbye Zoe’ to TV channels and film festivals. |
