ARCHIVE FRONTLINE DANCE COLLABORATION - APRIL 2005 From 4th - 10th April 2005, Planet Sound Community Arts worked in alongside FRONTLINEdance for a Reaseach and Development phase. The Research and Development phase aimed to establish working practices, try ideas and experiment with material for a dance and music collaboration in addition to developing an understanding between dancers and musicians for their respective artforms. Sessions took place at Stoke On Trent college and at The Institute,Trent Vale and ran from 10am-6pm and focused on the different areas of collaboration to include warm ups, use of space, musical responses to dance movement and dancers developing movement to musical concepts. An informal "sharing" session took place on Friday 8th April 2005 with the arts council and other dance companies having chance to feedback on the work done up to that point. A tour is planned for Jan-March 2006, with material to be written and rehearsed during Autumn 2005. FRONTLINEdance is a not-for-profit integrated dance company, based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
