Term 2 will start on Sunday May 11th 2008 and will be held at the Planet Sound workshop room at Cartwright House, Mitchell Memorial Theatre, Hanley.

The open djembe workshops will run from
3.30 - 5pm and we welcome all ages and levels of playing experience.

Drumschool is also pleased to announce Bosco De Oliveria will be back to form a great samba bateria for the Sanity Fair event on June 14th!
Bosco is one of the top Samba leaders in the UK, and formed the first samba project in Britain in the 1980s.
Bateria Sessions are open to all people wanting to learn samba and parade at the event on June 14th and will run from 5pm to 7pm.
All sessions are free of charge and drums are provided.

On March 13th 2008, the Planet Sound Drumschool concluded a successful winter term, with a celebration showcase at the Full Moon, Newcastle Under Lyme.

The Planet Sound Drumschool provided the core of the bateria for the 2007 City Centre Carnival. The Drumschool recieved tuition by top international sambista Bosco de Olivera over an 8 week period in preperation for what turned out to be the best City Centre Carnival yet!For the full report, gallery and soundclips, click here!

On Sat the 18th Aug 2007, the St.Lukes drumming group "Kasanti" joined members of the Planet Sound Drumschool to provide pre-match entertainment at the Britannia Stadium for the Stoke City fans.

On Wed 21st March 2007, the first ever Planet Sound Drumschool showcase took place at the Full Moon music venue, Newcastle Under Lyme.

The event festured five different groups, each playing several songs for the biggest audience the Full Moon has seen. Over 60 people performed as part of the show, coming from all over the North Staffs area.
