ACCESS ALL AREAS - BIDDULPH JUNE- JULY 2005 The Access All Areas project continued throughout June and July 2005 at the Biddulph Youth Centre. Over a series of five workshops the young people of Biddulph Youth Centre worked on African drumming, Music Technology, DJing, guitar and vocal skills to produce their own song based on the theme of "power". In total, seven young people from Biddulph Youth Centre worked together to create the song with five of the group performing live on stage as part of the Biddulph Folk Festival. The project was funded and supported by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council as part of the Festival of Biddulph that runs throughout July with the aim of encouraging greater youth arts involvement in the festival. The group is soon to spend an additional workshop session recording their individual sections of the song and creating a CD, of which they will each receive a copy to promote their talents. Future projects at Biddulph are currently being planned with the aim of producing more musical output in the form of performances/CD productions.
